Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation virtually on October 7 as the Gujarat BJP launches a 'Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra' across every district to mark his 25 years in public office. The 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha' begins around 9 a.m., when Modi will administer a collective pledge for a developed India by 2047. BJP national president Nitin Nabin speaks first, after which local leaders light the 'Seva Jyot' to flag off the yatra.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel leads the Ahmedabad event, while state president Jagdish Vishwakarma, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and four general secretaries head programmes. The nationwide 'Seva Sankalp Yatra', underway since September 17, also concludes tomorrow at Vadnagar and Varanasi, where a water offering at Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple will be attended by Patel, West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and yatra in-charge V.D. Sharma. Youth volunteers have undertaken tree plantation, cleanliness, water conservation, and old-age home visits.
