The Bharatiya Janata Party is preparing to launch a countrywide 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' from September 17 to October 17, framing the month-long exercise as a celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public life. The campaign, approved at the party's recent organisational review, is designed to fuse service-delivery drives with aggressive grassroots mobilisation at a time when the BJP is contesting a string of state battles and recalibrating its booth architecture.
According to the party's blueprint, the campaign will operate on four parallel tracks — welfare outreach, booth-level mobilisation, youth-focused activities, and a coordinated social-media push. Workers and elected representatives at mandal, booth and district levels have been asked to identify beneficiary families, deliver targeted government schemes, and document the impact through photographs, testimonials and digital posts that feed into a central dashboard. The objective, party functionaries say, is to convert routine service delivery into measurable electoral capital.
A defining feature of the drive is its direct linkage with the 'Viksit Bharat 2047' vision — the BJP's long-term development pitch positioning India as a developed economy by the centenary of independence. Booth teams have been directed to use the month to communicate flagship schemes, gather local feedback and register new members, particularly among first-time voters. The campaign is also being treated as a stress test for the party's much-touted 'panna pramukh' (booth-in-charge) system, which has been expanded in recent organisational rejigs.
The month will culminate in a mega convention in Delhi, expected to bring together roughly 1.25 lakh elected BJP representatives — from sarpanches and municipal councillors to MLAs, MPs and members of Parliament-ruled bodies — under a single roof. Party managers view the convergence as both a symbolic show of organisational strength and a messaging event ahead of assembly elections in states such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, where the BJP is seeking to retain or reclaim power.
