Sunrise Spices, in partnership with the Crafts Council of West Bengal, has launched a Durga Puja initiative in Kolkata to revive the haathpaakha, the region’s iconic hand fan, and to honor the artisans who craft it. The effort coincides with the annual Durga Puja celebrations, positioning the fan as a centerpiece of festive décor.

The campaign highlights the traditional fan’s role in Bengal’s cultural identity, aiming to draw fresh consumer interest and preserve the heritage of local craftsmanship.

By showcasing the haathpaakha during the festive season, the project seeks to connect modern audiences with a centuries‑old tradition while supporting the craftspeople behind it.
