As part of a broader effort, paintings are being created on rooftops along the Kashi ropeway corridor, whose construction is almost complete. The Terrace Artwork Project will feature large murals that highlight the city’s tourism, cultural identity, cuisine and handicrafts.

Passengers on the ropeway will be able to view the paintings as they pass through stations. The artworks are intended to give residents, pilgrims and tourists a visual overview of Kashi as they travel.

Municipal Commissioner Himanshu Nagpal told ANI that services on the ropeway are expected to begin soon.
