The Bharatiya Janata Party announced a five‑day padayatra that will cover all 224 Assembly constituencies in Karnataka, beginning on Tuesday, September 15.
The march is intended to protest the Karnataka state government's decision to limit the rendition of the national song Vande Mataram to only two stanzas at official events.

Party State President B.Y. Vijayendra made the announcement on Saturday, stating that the BJP will mobilise the campaign across the state to oppose the restriction.
