Police in Bengaluru reported the discovery of three distinct caches of illegal mobile phones inside a city jail, resulting in the arrest of nine people during the operation.
Under Indian prison regulations, possession of mobile devices by inmates is prohibited because it can facilitate criminal activity and compromise prison security, prompting regular inspections by authorities.
