Bengaluru police have arrested two individuals accused of cheating women across the city and stealing their gold jewellery. The police operation led to the recovery of stolen gold and valuables estimated to be worth Rs 19 lakh.
The operation was conducted under the administrative supervision of BS Nemagouda, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North Division. Investigative teams from the Yeshwanthpur Sub-Division carried out the action under the direct leadership of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) BY Renuka Prasad following complaints filed by victims in the area.
During the arrests, officers recovered 130 grams of gold—comprising crafted ornaments and a gold ingot—along with a mobile phone used in the operation. Police confirmed that the combined value of the seized property is approximately Rs 19 lakh.
Both suspects remain in police custody as officers document the details of the alleged cheating cases and the complaints registered against the duo.
