Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued a tender for a ₹2.93 crore water pipeline intended to serve two proposed industrial zones. The scheme plans to supply 20 lakh litres per day to each location ahead of the GIS 2027 schedule.

The industrial development corporation requested the water volume, while the city reports roughly 7,000 pipeline leakages and continues work under the AMRUT 2.0 programme, prompting questions about the priority given to drinking‑water supplies.
