Tech Week Singapore 2026 Opens with Guest of Honour and Tokyo Data Centre Launch

Singapore hosts Tech Week 2026 on Sep 29‑30, featuring over 600 speakers, a Guest of Honour address by Minister Tan Kiat How, and the launch of Data Centre World Tokyo 2027.

Tech Week Singapore 2026 will take place at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre on 29‑30 September, under the theme “The Infrastructure Era”. Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information Tan Kiat How will serve as Guest of Honour, delivering the opening address and leading a Minister's Tour of the event’s most innovative showcases.

The flagship Tech Night on 29 September will host the official unveiling of Data Centre World Tokyo 2027, marked by a live drumming performance and a ceremonial sake barrel‑breaking, with the launch scheduled for 6:10 pm.

Co‑located shows such as Cloud & AI Infrastructure Asia, Cyber Security World Asia and Data Centre World Asia will run alongside the Open Compute Project’s Southeast Asia Tech Day, featuring speakers from Google DeepMind, NVIDIA, Meta and others. A Live Vehicle Cyber Hackathon will run across both days, culminating in a winner announcement on 30 September at 4 pm.

Organisers expect more than 30,000 senior IT leaders and decision‑makers, and over 600 regional and international speakers. The event expands to four floors of Marina Bay Sands, adds three floors for Data Centre World Asia, and includes 11 pavilions representing seven countries.

Why This Matters

By gathering policymakers, leading tech firms and enterprise executives, Tech Week Singapore creates a rare forum to align infrastructure investment with emerging AI and quantum workloads across Asia. The Data Centre World Tokyo launch signals a strategic push for next‑generation digital hubs, while the hackathon and open‑compute sessions highlight security and standardisation priorities essential for scaling regional tech ecosystems.
