Apple has combined Siri with a Google Gemini backend to launch a privacy-focused AI assistant now in beta. The software can listen, see, and adapt to user input.

It is limited to the latest iPhones in select regions. Privacy controls let users disable data sharing, manage app permissions, and turn off on-device features such as visual look-up and chat extensions.

Apple vowed that personal data remains on-device and is offering a bounty program for privacy bugs. Stability testing is underway before a full rollout. The feature is not yet available to all iPhone users.
