St. John’s Prep and Lynnfield joined several local teams in Monday and Tuesday qualifying for the MIAA state golf championships. The programs were trying to keep their seasons alive, according to an Itemlive report by Anne Marie Tobin.
The MIAA has set fields for Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3 state golf tournaments. Both schools were among the local teams competing for a state-tournament place, but the report gave no scores, team totals, division assignments or advancing teams. Their appearance in the coverage confirms participation, not that either program advanced.
