On Friday, Sep 25, a traditional pooja marked the start of Sivakarthikeyan's next film in Chennai. The untitled project, tentatively labeled #SK27, is being produced by Sathya Jyothi Films and directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan.
Kayadu Lohar will appear as the female lead opposite Sivakarthikeyan, while comedians Sudhakar and VTV Ganesh are slated for supporting roles. Sources say character actors George Maryan and Babloo Prithviraj will also feature in pivotal parts. The crew includes cinematographer Om Prakash, editor Kalaivanan (who edited Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Amaran’), costume designer Praveen Raja and stunt choreographer Steven Kumar. The first schedule in Chennai is set for 10‑15 days.

Balakrishnan, who earned three National Film Awards for his superhit Tamil film ‘Parking’, brings award‑winning storytelling to the venture, raising expectations for a commercially strong and critically noted release.
