The Saket District Court on Thursday dismissed a petition that sought to register an FIR against former Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti and 13 co‑accused.

The filing alleged that Bharti and the others accepted bribes to enable construction of a road on land designated as a pond, but the court found the application not maintainable under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The ruling halts any immediate criminal investigation into the alleged wrongdoing, leaving the accusations unresolved for now.
