The Department of Posts issued an Office Order on 22 September 2026 promoting Dr. Alok Pande (IPoS 1994) to the post of Member (Financial Services) on the Postal Services Board, with a HAG+ pay level‑16 salary range of ₹2,05,400–₹2,24,400, effective 1 October 2026 or the date he assumes charge, whichever is later.
Dr. Pande is currently serving on deputation as Additional Secretary in the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management, Ministry of Finance, and his promotion elevates him to the Higher Administrative Grade Plus (Group A) within the Indian Postal Service.

The order also directs that Ms. Manisha Sinha, presently Member (Financial Services), be promoted to Director General Postal Services (DGPS) from 1 October 2026 upon relinquishing her current charge, and it allows the newly appointed members to fix their pay under FR‑22(I)(a)(1) within one month, with charge reports to be submitted thereafter.
