Sachin Waze, a dismissed officer of the Mumbai Police, has opposed the National Investigation Agency’s appeal that challenges his bail in the Antilia explosives case and the Mansukh Hiran murder case.

In his submission, he maintains that the gelatin sticks lacking a detonator or the fuse do not, by themselves, satisfy the criteria for the terrorist offence under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

The Bombay High Court has scheduled the matter for resumption of hearing on the October 16, when it will examine the NIA’s bail appeal against Waze.
