Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited has signed a formal Memorandum of Understanding with NBCC India Limited to execute the comprehensive renovation and modernization of its corporate headquarters located at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
The agreement establishes NBCC as the project management consultant responsible for overseeing architectural planning, engineering design, public procurement, and site execution. The redevelopment aims to upgrade structural systems, optimize administrative floor layouts, and integrate modern, sustainable building technologies across the facility.
Planned enhancements include the installation of energy-efficient electrical and HVAC systems, solar energy generation capabilities, and modern digital communication infrastructure. These upgrades are designed to bring the headquarters into compliance with contemporary green building benchmarks and Central Public Works Department standards.
The initiative supports MECL's operational objectives as a premier mineral exploration agency under the Ministry of Mines, providing enhanced facilities for technical personnel, geological data processing, and collaborative institutional research.
