The Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Delhi’s electoral rolls has removed 47.57 lakh voters from the draft list, representing roughly 33 % of the previously published roll.
Among those affected is Pushpa, a resident of Sheikh Sarai who says she has lived at the same address for nearly four decades; her family members remain listed, but her entry is marked as “permanently shifted.”

In Karnataka, sources confirm that several prominent individuals—including entrepreneur Nandan Nilekani, the Kamath family, D.K. Shivakumar’s mother, scientist C.N.R. Rao and actor Shivarajkumar—have been flagged for verification under the same revision exercise.
The commission has opened a window for affected voters to file claims challenging their omission, with the deadline set for September 30.
