Delhi High Court allowed CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka to withdraw their plea, directing them to await a hearing scheduled before the Special Executive Magistrate later that day.

Justice Subramonium Prasad rejected the petitioners' Article 226 writ, stating it did not address a repeat case of violating a peace bond. The dispute centers on the court's insistence that fresh sureties be furnished despite multiple submissions by the leaders.
