Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan said Delhi police entered the Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib bare‑headed and in shoes during today’s CJP protest, breaching the sanctity of the Sikh shrine.

He called the intrusion a shameful act by the Modi‑led government’s police, alleging they detained young demonstrators raising concerns over alleged vote‑chori.

The speaker’s remarks underscore heightened sensitivities around police conduct at religious sites and the politicised atmosphere surrounding the ongoing protest in the capital.
