Delhi cleared projects worth Rs 622 crore to reinforce its flood‑control and drainage network, a decision taken at the Flood Control Board’s 40th meeting.

The package features a 4.7‑km reinforced cement concrete wall along a vulnerable stretch of the Yamuna and three separate schemes for the scientific disposal of silt removed from city drains.

These measures aim to strengthen the capital’s ability to manage heavy rains and reduce flood risk in low‑lying areas.
