Stable Money rolls out ‘Badhte Jao’ campaign to celebrate India’s Fixed Deposits

Stable Money’s new ‘Badhte Jao’ campaign personifies the fixed deposit as a growing, dependable friend, highlighting its daily interest up to 8.5% and its role in 95% of Indian households.

Stable Money has launched Badhte Jao, a national brand campaign that puts the fixed deposit (FD) front and centre as a daily‑interest‑earning instrument offering rates of up to 8.50% per year, irrespective of global market movements. SEBI data shows about 95% of Indian households rely on bank FDs as their primary savings vehicle.

The film, shot in Sambhar, Rajasthan, introduces a warm young man named Faujdaar, affectionately called “FD” by a girl at a railway crossing. As the story unfolds, he visibly grows taller, a visual metaphor for the compound growth of an FD, reinforcing its dependable presence in everyday neighbourhood life.

Co‑founder Saurabh Jain said the campaign aims to restore the FD’s cultural relevance, while Fluid’s founder Krishan Jagota highlighted the simple idea of personifying predictable growth. Director Vijay Sawant noted the authentic Rajasthan setting and the goal of making the growing boy feel real. The campaign runs across television, digital and cinema, including a spot on Kaun Banega Crorepati, which Stable Money sponsors.

Why This Matters

With fixed deposits underpinning the savings of the vast majority of Indian families, giving the product a relatable, celebratory narrative could shift public perception from a bland, traditional tool to a trusted financial companion, potentially boosting uptake and reinforcing financial stability at a household level.
