Both Pichai and Mukundananda were students at IIT Kharagpur in the early 1990s, studying in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering before their careers diverged. While Pichai pursued advanced degrees in material sciences and business administration in the United States—eventually rising to lead Alphabet and Google—Mukundananda completed postgraduate management studies at IIM Calcutta before renouncing corporate life to dedicate himself to monastic service, Vedic education, and global humanitarian initiatives.
