The Manufacturing Institute and the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) formalized a partnership on Monday to roll out the institute’s new AI Skills for Manufacturing Training Suite. The program will be delivered through Calhoun Community College and the 23 additional Alabama community colleges, giving students statewide access to AI‑focused manufacturing education.
The collaboration aims to equip the workforce with emerging AI tools used in production environments, addressing a growing skills gap in the sector. Officials highlighted the partnership’s role in strengthening regional industry competitiveness and preparing graduates for high‑tech manufacturing roles.
