On October 23, inDrive, Pony.ai and NVIDIA announced a memorandum of understanding to explore autonomous ride‑hailing in Kazakhstan. The partners named Astana as the initial test city, citing the capital’s growing population and its harsh winter conditions.
Pony.ai will supply its seventh‑generation robotaxis, while inDrive will integrate the service into its app and manage operations. NVIDIA will provide AI infrastructure, including the Hyperion platform and safety stack. The collaboration will assess how Level‑4 vehicles handle local roads, regulatory requirements and commercial viability, with a possible expansion to other cities if the pilot succeeds.
