The Journal Sentinel unveiled its inaugural Area Boys Soccer power rankings on Tuesday, placing Marquette University at the summit as the top high school boys soccer program in the region.
The rankings, compiled by a panel of local coaches and analysts, evaluated teams based on recent performance, strength of schedule, and player talent, with Marquette earning the highest aggregate score.

Marquette’s ascent follows a dominant 2025 season in which the Golden Eagles posted a 20‑2 record, captured the conference title, and advanced to the state semifinals, showcasing a deep roster led by senior forward Arjun Patel and goalkeeper Rohan Singh.
Other notable programs in the top ten include Milwaukee Lutheran (No. 2), St. Thomas More (No. 3), and Whitefish Bay (No. 4), each praised for strong defensive units and prolific scoring attacks.
The Journal Sentinel noted that the rankings will be updated monthly throughout the season, providing a benchmark for teams as they vie for playoff positioning and college recruitment attention.
