BCCI chiefs present fielding medal to Nandni Sharma as India clinches eighth Asia Cup

India wrapped up a dominant campaign at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, beating Sri Lanka by 72 runs to secure a record‑extending eighth Women’s Asia Cup title, while BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia and Vice President Rajeev Shukla joined the squad on the field to present a fielding medal to Nandni Sharma.

Sharma, who returned from an injury sustained during the Women’s Premier League, said the triumph felt especially rewarding after missing earlier tournaments, adding that winning the Asia Cup again amplified her joy.

The victory arrives with the Asian Games on the horizon, and the squad believes the title will boost confidence while highlighting areas for improvement as they prepare for the next continental challenge.
