On Sep 25, actress Neena Gupta praised producer JD Majethia during the BKC‑area promotion of the streaming series ‘Chumbak’. She told IANS that Majethia seemed “from another planet” and called him a “ladies’ man”, noting his conduct impressed her.
Gupta recounted that after a shoot she was heading to receive an award when Majethia, seated beside her, took her purse, escorted her to the stage and held her hand. She said he acted like a “godfather” and that there is a “family feeling” with him, emphasizing that anyone can approach him if a problem arises.
