Hockey India confirmed that each member of the women's national team will receive a share of a ₹50 lakh cash award, marking the highest monetary recognition ever given to the side for a World Cup performance.
The team’s fifth‑place finish in the tournament, held in Spain, is the best ever by an Indian women’s squad at a senior World Cup, surpassing the previous best of seventh place in 2018 and signalling a rapid rise in competitiveness on the global stage.
