State-owned missile maker Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) disclosed in its 2025–26 Annual Report, published in September 2026, that the ASRAAM Final Assembly, Integration and Testing (FAIT) facility has achieved full operational status.
The operationalisation comes as the Indian Air Force faces a looming requirement for the short‑range ASRAAM missile, and the facility is highlighted among BDL’s major infrastructure expansions aimed at bolstering indigenous missile capability.
