Flipkart is preparing to launch a food delivery service, Eat-in by Minutes, with a public rollout expected by the end of October 2026. The Walmart‑backed firm has expanded internal testing to roughly 8,000 employees at its Bengaluru headquarters, and the service will appear as a separate tab in the Flipkart app.
The trial will assess performance before launch, and Flipkart plans to serve five or six cities by year‑end. It reportedly offers restaurants a base commission of about 10 percent, versus 20–25 percent on rival platforms, while aiming to keep promotion costs near 15 percent. The service will feature restaurants from the Open Network for Digital Commerce and direct sign‑ups, with deliveries managed by Ekart. Customer acquisition remains a challenge.
